On the Cover: This issue marks the first Super Ford with a digitally-composed main cover image. As such, we'd like to credit the creative heroes behind its production. Chuck James, our photography manager, individually photographed the Edelbrock aluminum cylinder head and burning rubber cement with 4x5 Fujichrome Provia film inside an Omega View camera with a 21 Omm lens. After the best images were selected by Art Director Debbie Miller, Scanning Goddess Pat Hays scanned them into the digital world via DPG's Screen DTS1 030 drum scanner. From there, Pat - with lots of help from Dinah George, our digital pre-press systems administrator, and Julie Koerner, former electronic imaging specialist and current Corvette Fever managing editor - imported the scanned images into Adobe Photoshop and cut, pasted, layered, masked, smudged and airbrushed them into the single 50-megabyte image found on this month's cover.

Oh yeah, Editorial Director Donald Farr chipped in with a stellar shot of the 8-second Briante Mustang lunging skyward and Debbie Miller completed the cover by adding the typographic sales pitch.

Plus other interesting items.
